Strawberry Cough (Kyle Kushman)

I was not prepared to learn how deep this strain goes. At one point, I was convinced this was strictly sativa. To this day, this is one of the best day smokes I've ever tried. While it's sativa tendencies keep me up and moving around, I found myself getting some pain relief which I welcomed per my job as a stagehand in and around the city I work in. Things changed when I learned that there are MANY phenotypes of SW, some are more indica than the stuff I had been getting for years. Coming from Kyle Kushman, it's crossed with Haze and Strawberry Fields (both strains are delightful but SW is the perfect marriage between the two.) As you might have guessed, Strawberry Cough has a pronounced berry/fruit/sweet scent and taste to it (dry hits of joints are as much fun as actually burning one down. Trust me.) Topping out at 21% THC, this strain can pack a punch. Used to treat PTSD, stress, and ADD, Strawberry Cough is enjoyed by smokers of all ages for all kinds of reasons. 80% saliva, folks! If you are a person on the go but need a pick me up, this is YOUR strain. Enjoy!

Deadhead OG

The indica strain, Deadhead OG, was one of the first things I sampled when I went out to Cali for a little while. It was a strain that put me on my ass almost immediately. Being one of the heaviest indices I've ever smoked, I was surprised to find out the THC content is lower than expected (20%.) It's lineage includes chem '91 and San Fernando Valley OG (both extremely enjoyable, heavy-hitting strains.) Created by Swerve at Cali Connections, this indica dominant strain has a lemony, fuel scent with pine and earthy undertones and is totally a nighttime smoke that is not for everyone. If you suffer from insomnia, chronic pain, or depression…this is the strain for you!

Exodus Kush by DNA Genetics

Exodus Kush, by DNA Genetics, is another name that can be found on the night-time smoke list. This Exodus Cheese x OG Kush is among our personal favorites here at Fear Of A Baked Planet. A balance of 60/40 in favor of indica is perfect for both new smokers and new growers. This medication starts with a classic cheese taste that moves quickly into very recognizable OG Kush flavor. Exodus Kush is used to treat such ailments as insomnia, arthritis, muscle inflammation, anxiety, and depression. Eights are priced out somewhere between $50-60 at most dispensaries. The only draw back is, once again, dry mouth. If you can find an organic, outdoor batch done well...congrats!

Kosher Kush (formerly called Jew Gold) by DNA Genetics!

The first strain blessed by a Rabbi, Kosher Kush (originally called 'Jew Gold') certainly can and will induce a spiritual or religious experience in one way or another. Crossed with OG Kush and Kosher, Kosher Kush packs a full bodied punch that only serious indica fans are prepared for when the effects kick in. While Kosher Kush has a typical OG Kush smell and taste, the buds are not as chunky as the other phenotypes of OG Kush. Musky, earthy, and fruity undertones are found in buds that have been properly taken care of by the grower. The "stoney feeling" stems from the extreme amount of THC found in this bud, which is in the excess of 29.6%. The CBN (.3%) and CBD (.7%) count don't clock in very high but then again, this isn't exactly the strain you want to smoke if you "have shit to do". While some doctors have perscribed it for hypertension, most suggest to their patients that they smoke this if they suffer from heavy anxiety, migraines, and sleep apena. Some patients have found relief in using this strain to combat PTSD, ADD, and ADHD. Other crossbreeds that have Kosher Kush in them include such heavy hitters as Holy Grail Kush, Kosher Tangie, Caramel Kush, and Chocolope Kush. If you're new to growing or a master grow, it has been suggested that you keep this one inside as it enjoys controlled climates and specified feeding, otherwise you should do well with this one! The only draw back to this strain...dry-mouth. Keep water next to your bed or couch when using this medication cause you'll need it after the nap that is in your near future. Enjoy!

This is Wildspeaker (TX)!

Every now and then, bands come along with a plan to take that sad, dismal 'everything has been done' outlook on music…and smashes it to fucking pieces. Cue Wildspeaker, a five piece hardcore band from Texas. What makes this band truly great is their ability to marry doom, crust-punk, and hardcore into a cohesive sound that surprisingly fresher and, dare I say, exciting. On tracks like 'Monochromatic' and 'Call To Arms', it's quite obvious this carries the tradition of solid doom/sludge that can only be found in southern states. The EP, Revenge of The Hunted, is a solid piece of work. It feels like being crushed to death, slowly. Wildspeaker's sound carries weight. The final track, Revenge of The Hunted, is a culmination of the brutality and simplicity Wildspeaker has to offer. Fact: Magic: The Gathering and hardcore. This is Wildspeaker!

Questions….
  1. 1. Tell me about Wildspeaker. - We are a mix of crust punk, hardcore, and doom metal. We are 'Magic: The Gathering' themed and our lyrics focus on struggles between man and nature, overall decay of life, and various stories from the MTG universe
  2. What bands are Wildspeaker listening to? we are currently jamming Fall Of Efrafa, Dystopia, Leftover Crack. Anything fast and depressing.
  3. Whats the hardcore scene like in Texas? - The hardcore scene in Texas is quite well-knit, despite having lots of cliques. Extremely supportive scenes all around. Breaking into bigger venues can be difficult as most promoters tend to book the same three bands to open the bigger shows.
  4. Favorite house/venu Warehouse in Arlington and Chichen Itza (taco shop) in Dallas
  5. How do we get your music?. We also have cds of our EP that we are able to send through the mail. Follow us on Instagram too!

    Blueberry Headband

It's of the opinion of Fear of A Baked Planet that this strain is one of the best "hybrids" (50/50, indica/sativa) known to man! With a possible THC percentage of 21%, it's easy to say this strain is no joke. 1.5% CBD, which means it works well for muscle, joint issues. Blueberry Headband is crossed with some heavy hitters: Blueberry x Emerald OG x cali sour d x pre 98 (all of which are delicious and worth checking out.) This particular strain is prescribed to treat epilepsy issues as well as anxiety, PTSD,  and migraines. With no real negative side affect, Blueberry Headband is the perfect mid-day smoke!

    Hindu Kush Review

Hindu Kush. Just saying the name conjures up images of the region in which it is named after, Pāriyātra Parvata (500 mile long mountain range between Pakistan and Afghanistan. After you read this review, google hindu kush and learn more about the area. To have a better understanding of what makes different kinds of medication unique, take the approach the french use in tasting wine: to taste the wine is to taste its origins. This is one of those strains. When talks about great indicas, Hindu Kush is mentioned almost immediately. It's earthy/pungent/sweet aroma is simply intoxicating. One could be medicated simply by selling the buds. I've seen Hindu Kush reach 21% THC with a standard of .18-.22 CBD. Because of it's indica tendencies, this strain is typically prescribed to treat insomnia but it's also used to treat arthritis per the CBD count. Paitents who suffer from ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and migraines would also enjoy this strain. If on your next trip to the dispensary, you this as hash or wax, don't be surprised! Goodluck, stay medicated!

    Holy Grail Review

Holy Grail and the actual Holy Grail have something in common: it's slightly mysterious. With a possible THC content of 20+%, this ranks as a "heavy hitter". Holy Grail's lineage includes some oldies but goodies: OG 18 (three time cannabis cup winner) x Kosher kush (two time cannabis cup winner). This strain was created by DNA Genetics (Netherlands) original! Holy Grail is used to treat such ailments as PTSD, ADD/ADHD, and general bipolar issues. This mostly indica strain has complex coffee/kush/hash/musky/lemon-lime scent with the exact same combo for flavor. The buds are, typically, large and dense. If you see this on the menu at your local dispensary or your "guy/girl" has this stuff, I suggest you get your mits on some!

    Hibiscus Tea

Hey, everybody! I hope this blog finds you well. Had a great weekend as I'm hoping you did the same. Real quick though, a useful tip in lowering one's blood pressure. At least in my case, God knows I could use a bit of help in that department. High blood pressure is a common issue that needs to be addressed quickly and safely.

Hibiscus tea. Yeah that cool looking flower that some of your Grandmothers grow in the front, back, or side yard. To better understand why the tea helps, its important to get some background on the plant itself. A genus flowering plant in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The name, hibiskos, comes from the Greek physician, pharmacologist and botanist Pedanius Dioscorides gave Althaea officinalis. The USDA came out with a report in 2008, showing hibiscus tea lower's blood pressure in pre and mildly hypertensive adults. Drink 3 cups daily for 6 weeks.

This plant does some other cool stuff like cure coughs and hair loss/greying. In chinese herbal medicine, it is said that it can also be used as a sunblocking cream.

I plan on doing more healthful hints in the next few weeks. If there is anything in paticular you would like to see, give me a shout on Facebook, www.facebook.com/fearofabakedplanet313

    Checkin with all of you!!

First off...to the first time readers, thank you for checking out Fear Of A Baked Planet!

Real quick though, since I work two night jobs, I get bored during the day so today I decided it was a good day to pull out my Agromax 10x10 tent and put it together. This isnt my first time assembling a grow tent but my first time doing it alone. Its a learning process of course.

I'll write a post about the entire process really soon!

    Deathstar Wax Review

One of the most dangerous meds on the streets. By dangerous, I mean this is not the medication you want to take when you've got shit to do. This is a lazy sunday, if you will. If anyone is looking to decompress from a long day or night at work, this is the muscle relief you are looking for! Testing at 20+% THC, this strain has certainly to be powerful (flower is nice but the concentrate is truly out of this world). This strain, a 75% indica and 25% sativa, was created in the early 2000s and is crossed with two heavy-ass hitters: sensi star and sour diesel. It's rich pine/skunk/diesel aroma and taste is not for the average smoker. It takes a certain breed of patient to attack this beast. Effectiveness last from about 1.5-2+ hours and is used to treat some of the following: PTSD, ADHD, stress, pain, arthritis (as a person who is on their feet all day, I can tell you it works wonders!) The only downside to this medication is it causes extreme dry-mouth, so be sure to keep some sweet tea or something close by!

    Homemade BBQ Sauce

There is no right or wrong to make this sauce this recipe served more as a springboard into other things. Play around, tinker, experiment. Please.

    • small onion
    • peppers (green, yellow, bell, hot, whatever)
    • vinegar
    • tomatoes (i use cherry and full size sometimes)
    • any kind of chile (for this recipe, I used chile poblano with seeds)
    • a mason jar
    • 3-5 tablespoonof sugar (the sweetness is up to you)
    • a pot
    • a stove
    1. Measure 4-5 cups of vinegar Bring to a slow, rolling boil on the stove.
    2. Add the sugar and stir till it completely dissolves.
    3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
    4. Cut veggies into quarters and put in the mason jar.
    5. Pour hot vinegar over the top of the veggies in the mason jar.
    6. Put the lid on and shake for about 5 minutes then put in the refrigerator for about 30 days.
    7. After 30 days, take the mason jar out and pour the contents into a food processor.
    8. "Liquify" for about 5 minutes.
    9. You now have some bad ass sauce. Enjoy.

    Nightmare OG

    Classification: Hybrid (indica dominat)

Lineage: Pre 98 Bubba Kush x Killer Queen

Nightmare OG is a dense bud with musky, woodsy, hash-oil OG smell with lemon/lime undertones. The inhale has a earthy, musky, woodsy, hash taste with a slight seasoning/pepper flavor on the exhale. It's usually used to treat pain, nausea, stress. The assumed THC rating is gonna be 21% (no info could be found on CBDs or anything else). This strain is not for the average grower but not only for the masters. Generally speaking, this strain runs for about $20-25/per gram at the dispensary. In the right hands, Nightmare OG is the 500lb gorilla waiting in the mist. While it might mellow some of us out, it might render some of us useless. The words "couch-lock" and "heavy-hitting" have been used to describe initial effects.

If you need extra help decompressing after work or you need to get to sleep ASAP, I HIGH-ly recommend this one!

    Space Ghost Wax Review

In order to truly understand how special this concentrate is, you have to hear where it comes from. (I sincerely hope you are sitting down for this one.)

Space Ghost = Snowdawg X Spacequeen

    Snowdawg
Chemdawg X (Superskunk X Orgeon Snow)

    Spacequeen
    Romulan X C-99 (C-99 = Princess X Cinderlla 88)

The lineage of this strain goes on and gets a little more mysterious as you look further into it's background. One this is for sure the flavor you get on the exhale from both the flower and the wax is very high in the Chemdawg department. It's taste, unsmoked and on the inhale, is very unique. With the wax, you get quite a bit of the Romulan/C-99 tatste (C-99 is known for its mild tropical aroma and flavor while Romulan is known for it's more earthy/pine flavor).

Space Ghost is mostly 'cannabis indica' (that means it's a body buzz that may induce some "couch-lock".) This strain, created by TGA Subcool, has been tested at 18-19% THC and 1.0+% CBG*, though the stuff that we given me to review would probably test at some around 21-24%THC. This strain has been known to cause euphoria, with a chance of relaxation and maybe a slight case of "the giggles. Side effects also include dry mouth, sleepiness, dry eyes, and headaches (the Chemdawg tends to cause headaches with some patients.) Space Ghost is used to treat anxiety, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, severe migraines, insomnia, nausea, minor pain, and stress. It's effects are known to last up to 2 hours with at least 35-40 minutes to its peak after initially medicating.

With all of this information set before and knowing what you know about medicating with wax, you would be right in assuming the wax version of this strain packs quite the punch. If your local dispensary or care-giver carries or can get Space Ghost (flower or wax), demand it. This strain, especially the wax, is going on the top 10 best strains for Fear Of A Baked Planet.

*CBG (Cannabigerol): Non-psychoactive, sleep inducing. Anti-microbial, lowers intra-ocular pressure.

    Sour Diesel Review

It shouldn't be too surprising that if you ever get a "mystery bag", and it smells like "fuel", it's probably Sour Diesel (also known as Sour D). Sour Diesel, '91 Chemdawg x [Super Skunk x Northern Lights], is very well known as an "uplifting" strain per it's 80% sativa content. Sour D is often prescribe ailments including anxiety, stress, some depression, and PTSD. The euphoric strain is known to contain 20+% THC. Remember: not all growers will have the exact same THC count so pay attention when purchasing any meds!

There isn't a lot one can say about this strain that hasn't been said before. This happens to be a personal favorite and should you ever get to baked with this stuff, all I have to say is: brownies at a party.

    Enjoy!

Cura Cochino, Blind The Sun, and Ape Machine (OR) at Luigi's

When you book a show at a pizza place, you're doing something right. Let's be cleat about two other MAJOR factors in why this night ruled: quality of the pizza and yes…they served beer. Since this was my first time to this place, I had no idea what I was getting into. About 10 feet from the door is when that smell hits you: fresh dough, cheese, tomato sauce, with a faint whiff of veggies being cooked in an oven. The place is packed with all types: lovers, families, a cop (good thing I smell like a skunk), friends, and just random people off the street. Luigi's is longer and a little more narrow. The seating is bench style with one long table on one side and smaller tables on the left. As soon as you walk in there is a door to your right, this is the door to the show space next door which is no bigger than the average loft apartment with high, exposed ceiling and a small stage in the corner.

Blind The Sun was up first. Let me start by saying any time you start your set with a joke that Lemmy tells (the one about the baby standing on a corner at 4am) you already have found a special place in my heart. These guys were pretty cool. Three piece from "Sac" playing somewhat standard rock n roll with sort of an edge. 3-5 minute songs (the first two bands played 30 minutes). Think if Cracker, Hum, and The Minutemen (minus the insane complexity) had a love child…

Cura Cochino played and, much like the first time I saw them, they destroyed. This band is heavy, dark, and very slow. All of their cleaner, dare I say softer parts are very brooding. I feel like I should be in a cloak doing something very strange while listening to them and something tells me a couple of their band members wouldn't be so bothered by that. They are a 5 piece, also from "Sac". The lead singer is a female and quite honestly there is something powerful in the presence of females in doom. Gender usually does not matter in music but damnit if the Bloody Pandas and the Electric Wizards and the Cura Chinos of the world all did a comp, I would buy it. Something interesting about this person, their singer, she dances to the songs. Now quite honestly, that is new. This is sound can be found by when was the last time you went to a doom show and saw a band member actually dance…never, exactly my point! I love this band but because of the length of some of their songs, a 30 minute set is over after maybe 5 songs (write some short ones, please?) All in all, I'm wearing their shirt as I write this so if that is any indication of how much joy I get out of hearing this band…I hope it translates well.

Ape Machine. You ever wonder what it would feel like to be trampled by a heard of yetis? Listen to this band. Holy fuck, Portland. You are lucky fuckers for being able to claim this band. Long, short…all of the songs were jams from beginning to end. Expect to read a record review on them soon. Not too much can really be said about this band because I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on what exactly it was that I was seeing and hearing. This is a band that should be supporting Baroness, The Sword, Lo-Pan, Clutch fans would probably lose their shit hearing this band too. Very west coast approach to rock with very pronounced Savannah, GA influences (ie. Kylesa, Baroness). I also found this band to be eerily similar to one of my personal favorite doom bands, Goatsnake. Everything right down to the guitars and the voice…the fucking pipes on their singer. There are only so many times in your life where you will get to hear someone who has an actual range and when the chance to hear that person do what they do presents itself, don't be a dick. Pay attention to what it is that's going on. Thank you, Ape Machine. Thank you so much!

Go to Luigi's in Sacramento. Get a slice, see a show. It's just that simple.

    Pan Fried Sweet Potato

    Things You Will Need:

    • Sweet potatoes (these things are good, so just get a whole mess of them)
    • Butter (medicated or not, this is a treat)
    • Non-stick pan
    • Stove (duh)

Heat butter (about 5 tablespoons) in pan, at medium heat. Slice sweet potatoes into long, fairly thin slices, and place in the pan. Cover and put heat just about low for about 3-5 minutes. Flip them every other minute as to not burn this delicious snack or dinner side. Take cover off and continue to cook for another minute or so to add a bit of a glaze. I drizzle a touch of honey and a small pinch of cinnamon.

    Enjoy!

    Green Dragon (MMJ infused alcohol)

    Things You Will Need:

    • Trim and/or dried flower
    • 750ml (5th) of anything 100 proof
    • cheese cloth
    • funnel

Grind up all of your trim or dried flower and funnel it into the 5th. You may have to do a few shots to fit your product in with the bottle. Mix up the alcohol and product in the bottle for about 5 minutes. Store in a cool, dark place for up to a year (but don't open it before 3 months have gone by). Strain it through a cheese cloth. You can drink it straight, put it in drinks, use it for canna-melon. If you're feeling lucky, you can pour some out on a plate and let it dry out. What you are left with can be ingested.

    Skywalker OG (homegrown) Review

Where does one begin when speaking of such a legendary strain? Based solely off personal preference, I really enjoy any version of Skywalker OG that I've come across in the past 2-3 years. This was purchased through a source that shall remain nameless. It was clear upon inspection that this batch is extremely "honest", very "homegrown". Personally, I've seen "High Times" quality Skywalker OG and one thing that resonates through any different grower's approach to this strain is that it always has a very defined earthy flavor, both inhale and exhale. For those that like being able to taste how organic your meds are, this is the strain for you!

Flavor: Earthy, Sweet with citrus notes. Hints of Chemdawg on the exhale.

Medicinal Use: Often prescribed to treat anxiety, migraines, add/adhd, arthritis, anorexia, depression, insomnia, muscle spasms, pain, and stress related issues.

    Feelings: Euphoria, Uplifting, Relaxed, Creative

Aroma: When you hear people say "dank", this is one of the strains that showcases what that means.

    Effectiveness: 1.5-2+ hours

Lineage: Skywalker X OG Kush, though some say it's simply a phenotype of OG Kush that was selected per it's Cannabis Sativa notes.

Other: Suggested high levels of mycrene, a terpene known to cause "couch lock"

    THC: 20.24%

    CBD: .13%

    CBN: .11%

Canna-melon (great summer treat - vegan friendly)

    Things You Will Need:

    1. Big Ass Watermelon
    2. 750 ml (5th) of Green Dragon
    3. Knife (don't be stoned when you do this, ok?)

    • Place the Watermelon in or on something so it can sit straight up while supporting the weight of the bottle OVERNIGHT.
    • Cut a hole in the top of the Watermelon that is big enough to insert the 5th at least 2" past the lip of the bottle
    • Insert bottle and let soak overnight in the fridge (get that gross leftover taco bell out of there!)
    • Cut watermelon into pieces. I suggest sharing with friends at a backyard get together.

What is Green Dragon? How do I make it?

    Stay tuned!

    Canna-Oil Recipe

Let me start by saying there are MANY ways to prepare things such as oil, so "to each his or her own". This is the method that has worked time and time again and it brings me joy to finally be sharing how to make the stuff that dreams are made of…

    Things You Will Need

    1. Dried flower or trim (you can use a fresh plant but I opt for the dried flowers per the fully produced resins and THC you will find after curing.)
    2. Vegtable cooking oil (it's best to make as much oil as you can)
    3. 1 pot
    4. Stove
    5. Metal strainer
    6. 1 mason jar
First thing you want to do is grind up your flower (use a grinder, you'll use the kief in a second) or chop up that trim (if you use flower, a half for one bottle of cooking oil will do you just fine - one ounce of trim per bottle). Once you have your product prepared, set it aside, and heat up the oil in a pot on the stove.

Once the oil is a little warm, add your product slowly as not to burn yourself splashing like an idiot. Stir, slowly, every now and then. Remember that leif we talked about, throw that in there too. Keep the heat between medium and low. If the oil starts bubbling, even a little bit, turn the heat off (if you are using an electric stove, move the pot to a different part that isn't being used). BE CAREFUL WITH THE HEAT AS IT WILL GREATLY EFFECT THE POTENCY OF YOUR COOKING OIL.

Keep stirring from time to time. If you have a laptop, put a movie on and sit in the kitchen so you can keep a close eye (burned oil taste like an ash try full of cigars). After three hours, remove from heat and strain into that mason jar…SLOWLY. Seal and let cool in the fridge.

    Use where oil is directed.

My email is Silentfilmsbooking@yahoo.com and I would love to hear how some of these recipes worked out for you.

*kief is the stuff that falls from the flower as it's being ground up. resin heads, thc crystals…whatever you wanna call it, that's the stuff that will get you where you wanna be.

    Sativa

In first part of this blog, we discussed some of the light characteristics of Cannabis Indica (body buzz, "sleepy-time" meds). In this section, we'll get into what makes Sativas so great and widely enjoyed. For some, it is hard to imagine meds that have a "speedier", "uplifting feeling" but it's true as the day is long. Cannabis Sativa is the kind of stuff you might find at a party or a concert as it is much heavier in THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). Sativa is often referred to as a "cerebral high", "heady".

Quite often, Sativa is prescribed to fight depression and anxiety. Strains heavy in Sativa are popular amongst musicians, painters, and writers per this particular brand of plant's ability to open the creativity in all of us. As strange as it might sound, Sativa also helps focus the mind for those who struggle in focusing on tasks. Most sativa strains originate in more humid, tropical climates while Indicas come from slightly cooler climates. An interesting difference in the appearance of a plant that is Sativa, the leaves are thinner and longer while Indica is short and stout. This stuff is what gives you the energy to get through the day, stress-free. New idea, positive vibes. If you're down, this puts you in the mood for anything. Popular sativa strains include: Durban Poison (South Africa), Jack Herer (named after the author of 'The Emperor Wears No Clothes'), AK-47 ([Colombian X Mexican] x [Thai X Afghani]), and Kali Mist.

    Indica

For most of us, weed was always just weed. It got you high, it made your friends funny, and Pink Floyd sound "really cool, man". Beyond the simple understanding that the average college student has about this, presumed, party favor is something much larger. Marijuana is almost like a religion and quite a few of us are true believers. So, with that kind of respect in mind, it is the hope of many that you go beyond the surface joys of smoking and really invest your time in gaining a little knowledge.

In this post, we'll tackle the first side of a subject that could be debated for more years than you could count on two hands: Indica or Sativa? This will be an adventure for the both of us in uncovering which class of Marijuana is appropriate for you. First up at bat…INDICA!

Indica, thought to originate in the Hindu Kush Mountains (Pakistan), is known for it's broad leaves and a higher CBD content than Sativa. (CBD or Cannabidiol is commonly prescribed to patients experiencing pain. CBD has more medicinal properties than THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol). Interesting tid-bit about strains with a higher CBD rating, studies have shown such strains don't cause as much short-term memory loss. It also been known to prevent binge drinking "memory loss" as well. Indica leaves smokers feeling more "stoned" than "high" per the high CBD rating found in Indica-only strains. Cannabis Indica, its binomial name, is often prescribed to treat such ailments as anxiety and insomnia. This version of the plant is relaxing to both the mind and the body. This means if you are stressed out, your body hurts, or you have trouble sleeping at night, indica predominate strains are the way togo. DO NOT SMOKE INDICA IF YOU HAVE STUFF TO DO. If you have ever heard the term "couch-lock", this is the stuff that inspired that saying.

Popular Cannabis Indica strains: Hash Plant (another personal favorite), Northern Lights, UK Cheese, Blueberry, and most Kush strains lean heavily towards Indica.

    A Decision...

Originally, when I came up with the idea of this blog (and more specifically, this blog entry) it seemed like something I could do real quickly and keep it moving. This is no longer the case in respect to grow info. In fact this blog could be based on grow info but for the purposes of covering other interesting areas of life, I will try to refrain from doing exactly that. In this this blog, we will talk about some vital information when it comes to taking matters into your own hands and growing your own flowers.

We'll start with something "simple"....Indica or Sativa. Which one should you grow and why? The answer could be as simple as 'Indica because it blooms faster' or 'Sativa cause, depending on the strain, it will yield higher'. With respect to the medicinal properties of this plant, one must consider what they would like to get out of it. If you've ever smoked something that knocked you out or "locked" you to the couch....chances are really good that it was either an indican or hybrid with strong indica tendencies. If you smoked something that seemed like the apex of the high was ever lasting and you got a little chatty, that's saliva up and down. One has a lethargic side effect (indica) and the other is more of a "mid-day, I got stuff to do" side effect (Sativa). Each patient has their own needs, so it really all depends on what you are looking for in your medicine.
